Our adventure of hotel business started in 2009 by Berge & Mine Ulaş. As the founders of Hotellino Mr. & Mrs. Ulaş invested great efforts to create a very special a homelike place with character for the neighbourhood through the years. In 2017 they decided to 'dedicate more time to themselves and their loved ones' and leave Hotellino to 3 hotel business professionals: Mr. Hüseyin Cakır, Mr. Agah Okay Alkan and Mr. Melih Boyacı.
Our comfortable single rooms are just the right size if you are travelling alone. The rooms are equipped with everything you need for a comfortable accommodation.
Our comfortable and bright double rooms are retreat after a long busy day in the city.
Our comfortable and spacious triple rooms are ideal for families and friends.
Nothing better for a family getaway. Ideal for families who require a little more space and privacy. Our connected family room is a connection of a standard double & standard twin rooms by an outside door and each room has it own independent bathrooms.
Hotellino, your home in Istanbul, stands at the heart of the old town and maximum 15 minutes away by walk from the famous historical monuments of Istanbul such as; Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Underground (Basilica) Cistern, Grand Bazaar, Spice Market, etc.
Even we are on the old town we are not in a touristic getto; we host extremely tasty local restauranst and nice cafes, we are very close to the local market places ,
Tram stop, main piers of the old town, intercontinental metro line and bus stops are a few steps away and this makes our neighbourhood a transportation hub. From where we are you can access to far ends of Istanbul very easily.
Our hotel's neighbourhood is full of small food units and fine dining restaurants and cafés whose customers include working class Turks, businessmen and tourists from around Turkey and other countries.
Especially Hocapasa (Hodjapasha) Street is like a heaven to find various samples of Turkish Cuisine, rooted from rich subcultures of Turkey.
During fine weathers, tables and chairs are placed out in the small square and nearby streets, filling many of them. Outdoor food experience and old-time neighborhood atmosphere are fused with each other. Prices are reasonable, so you might as well choose by first impressions: pick one you like, look at what's cooking, point to what you want, take a table and enjoy.
“Great and very helpful staff. Good breakfast. Superb location - most of all tourist attractions are in walking distance. Very close to public transport points (tram, metro, boats etc.).”
R. Povazhny from Israel – 2018“Perfect location in the heart of the old city. Wonderful staff, always available to help us. They made me feel like home. I had a very good stay and felt very welcome. I would like to thank Mr. Arkin, Mr. Tuna and the Hotellino family for the amazing service. Definivetly recommended!”
Z. Atici from the Netherlands – 2018“Hotellino exceeded my expectations during the stay, from prior communication before the trip, till the end of my journey. The staff members (e.g. Mr. Tuna, manager) were very extremely well-accommodating with any of our relevant requests. For example: I requested for an inter-connected room (due to family with children), and they had only one such room(s), and they reserved it for us. The rooms were spacious with a balcony. The hotel staff provided us with clear, consistent and relevant information about the possible tours, and the tour operators which worked with Hotellino were very professional. The staff members left no stone unturned to provide us with their excellent services. To sum up, it was a very enjoyable stay at hotellino. Thanks.”
S. Syed from Saudi Arabia – 2017“The staff were phenomenal! Exceedingly helpful and friendly! The breakfast was brilliant, I love that it changed some elements each morning. That variety in the morning was throughly appreciated!”
J. Woollett from Australia – 2017“Helpful staff, helped us with the luggage on arrival, gave us a transport card for free, gave recommendations about local places and even presented a little gift (Turkish coffe) on check out. Always smiling and ready to help. Staff is the best feature of this hotel.”
A. Chigareva from Russia – 2017“I travelled with a on year old child so I expected extra service and attention on important details. I asked beforehand for a room on an upper floor and as well for a baby bed. I was delighted to see despite my late check in (plane delayed) my requests were answered positively. I definitely do recommend this hotel for whatever purpose is your stay, staff is very careful and genuinely help you to make you at ease.Location is just great, we were looking for a place near the famous locations such as topkapi and grand bazaar and we found it. Lots of shops around if you want to go for souvenirs and local food taste. Tramway is just 4-5 minutes away and easy to get wherever you want in the city. We will definitely come over and stay again.”
A. Dantzer from France – 2017“This is my fourth stay at this hotel. It's being improved day by day. Very polite personnel. Excellent breakfasts. Thanks for everything Tuna Bey!”
T. Yermammadov from Azerbaijan– 2017“This little beauty of a hotel is perfectly situated a few minutes walk from the Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia, The Grand Bazaar and Topkapi Palace - all the major sightseeing points. It’s 5 mins walk to Galata Bridge and ferries go anywhere you want to go. Rooms are clean and well kept, and the staff are soooooo helpful. They arranged airport transfers for us and offered really good guidance about things to see - we wouldn’t have gone to Sulyamaniye Mosque if Tuna the hotel manager hadn’t told us to, and it was amazing! Finally, a good breakfast with plenty choice, and all for unbelievably good value of around £50 per night for 2 people with breakfast. You can’t beat it. Highly recommended!”
E. Thoscon from UK – 2018“Had an amazing time. Hotel.is absolutely spotless. The hotel team are so friendly and helpful. I was given a map on my first day to help with sightseeing. There was free water in the fridge every day. Breakfast was extremely tasty. Upon checking out, I was also given some very tasty coffee powder to take home. I would truly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Istanbul. Thanks for an amazing stay!!”
Steve S. from US – 2017“Had a exquisite stay at Hotellino. The location is absolutely perfect: A stone’s throw from the Sirkeci tram station and Eminönü ferry terminals, so it was easy to explore all parts of the city, but also only a 10-minute walk from the sights of Sultanahmet: the Haga Sofia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi palace and the Basilica Cistern, so you can easily head there in the morning and get there before the crowds and queues, e.g. at a pace of one per day like we did. The Hoca paca food strip is also really close and it had really solid food option, (e.g. Sehzade kebab and Balkan lokantasi) The hotel and rooms are modern, spotless and very pleasant. The staff is really friendly, we felt welcome and at home immediately. They’re also helpful and knowledgeable, advising us on public transport options and helping me track down restaurants that were serving some specific Turkish dishes I was hoping to try (e.g. manti). They’re also very child-friendly! Would definitely recommend Hotellino to anyone travelling to Istanbul!”
